We are honored to participate under the patronage of the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), and alongside our peers for the 10th Edition of the International Sustainable Industrial Areas (SIA) Conference.
The International Conferences on Sustainable Industrial Areas (SIA) gather experts worldwide to deliberate on recent trends, best practices, and the future growth of SIA.
The two-day event was hosted in Cairo, Egypt this year and provided a pivotal platform for engaging discussions, meaningful exchanges, and knowledge dissemination. Preceding the event, visits were conducted at four industrial parks in Cairo, including our very own Polaris International Industrial Parks, CPC Industrial Park, ElSewedy 10th Industrial Park, and Industrial Development Group (IDG).
Throughout the event, a diverse gathering of approximately 300 participants from more than 20 countries, representing various industries, convened to explore a wide spectrum of topics. Conversations spanned from the transition towards carbon neutrality through industrial symbiosis and circular economy strategies to the importance of fostering private sector expansion.
Furthermore, presentations encompassed a range of subjects such as financing Sustainable Industrial Areas (SIA), SIA planning principles, skill development, and the advancement of environmentally friendly employment opportunities. Noteworthy was the contribution of Ms. Amanda Nyingwa from the Natural Resources Stewardship Program, who delivered insights on Strategies for Enhancing Sustainability and Resilience in Economic Zones.
